Inhouse Lawyers Have Specific Tasks

Although an in house lawyer tends to offer the most comprehensive & wide range of legal time points, they have very clearly documented areas of responsibility.  Complying with all the current statutes laid down by government is  major.  Ensuring that their company is running along all the correct ways, no insider dealings, unfair competition dealings.  Whenever there are staff disputes, in-house lawyers will be on hand to take the employers side of the argument when it comes to any court cases.  For example a claim being received against the company in a tribunal has so many conotations – the legal team have to ensure that the employee has been treated fairly throughout any preparation period and they must ensure they find out all the information up front before they present their case in response to the claim.   But at least they have less legal fees – being in-house, they won’t need a barrister.
